Birgunj, Nepal: A newly born baby has been stolen from Birgunj based Narayani Sub Regional Hospital. Following the incident the hospital remained tense throughout the day on Friday.
It is said that an unidentified woman had stolen the baby from the maternity ward on Friday. The stolen baby was boy. The relatives and the local people have staged demonstration in front of the hospital.
Asha Paswan, wife of Mukesh Paswan of Bazaartole Chhapkaiya VDC-1 in Birgunj had given birth to a baby boy at 11:40 am on Friday. Following the birth, nurses had shifted the Asha to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) from the maternity ward after noticing some health problems with both the mother and newborn.
As the baby was not given to the mother for a long time but informed latter to Asha that her baby is stolen from the maternity ward.
