Kathmandu, Nepal: All the hospital service except emergency service will be halted from Wednesday in Nepal. 
 
National Resident Doctors Association (NRDA) has taken the unpleasant decision expressing solidarity to the hunger strike staged by TUTH senior orthopedic surgeon Dr Govinda KC.
 
An emergency meeting of the NRDA held on Tuesday made the decision with the conclusion that there is no another alternative rather than to halt the service to make responsible to the government to address the genuine demands raised by agitating Dr. KC. 
 
The unpleasant decision of the NRDA has come at the 17th day of the hunger strike of Dr. As health condition of Dr. KC is deteriorating he is being shifted to the ICU.
 
Health Minister Gagan Kumar Thapa had met Dr. KC on Tuesday. During the meeting he had urged Dr. KC to halt the strike stating that he is not in position to fulfill the demands raised by him.
