Kathmandu, Nepal: Police have arrested at least eight people and briefly detained them while they were protesting outside the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of the Authority (CIAA) central office in Tangal of Kathmandu, on Sunday.
 
The police had arrested and detained the cadres of the Bibeksheel Nepali party and the supporters of the Prof. Dr. Govinda KC while they jointly organized the demonstration demanding CIAA Chief Lokman Singh Karki’s property details.
 
The agitators have the demand that Karki’s property should be made public in accordance to Article 27 of the Constitution and the Right to Information Act, 2007.
 
The Kathmandu district Administration office has already issued a prohibiting order not to stage demonstration outside the CIAA office.
