Kathmandu, Nepal, March 21, 2019: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has on Thursday appointed chairpersons to five different constitutional commissions on the basis of the recommendation of the Constitutional Council (CC).
Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed chairs in the different five commissions in the presence of President Bhandari at a special ceremony organized at Shital Niwas.
Balananda Poudel the chairperson of National Natural Resources and Finance Commission (NRFC), Shanta Raj Subedi the chairperson of National Inclusion Commission (NIC), Bijaya Kumar Dutta the chairperson of Madhesi Commission (MS), Bishnu Prasad Chaudhary the chairperson of Tharu Commission (TC) and Samim Miya Ansari the chairman of Muslim Commission (MC).
During the function, various dignitaries of the Nepal government including vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Bhanubhakta Dhakal and others were also present in the function.
