Kathmandu, Nepal: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has resigned from the post. Prime Minister Dahal announced his resignation by addressing the nation through the televise address on Wednesday.

Earlier, Prime Minister Dahal had planned to address the nation through the parliament. But it could not happen due to the obstruction from the main opposition CPN UML.

The UML has been obstructing the parliament in the pretext of protesting the government decision to increase the number of local units in Terai districts.

During his address Prime Minister Dahal briefed the nation about the achievements made by the government during his tenure.

Prime Minister Dahal highlighted the building up social harmony between Tarai, Hill and the Mountain and improving trilateral relations among Nepal, India and China as of the major achievements of the government.
