Kathmandu, Nepal, March 4, 2020: The health condition of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is stable. Prime Minster Oli underwent second kidney transplant today.
According to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) health conduction of Prime Minister Oli’s niece Samikshya Sangraula, who donated one of her kidneys to PM Oli, is also stable.
Prime Minister Oli’s health condition post surgery is stable and his vital signs are sound, executive director of the hospital Dr Prem Krishna Khadga said issuing a statement that the transplanted kidney has started working and he will receive further treatment until full recovery.
A team of doctors led by Dr Prem Raj Gyawali, that include Dr Uttam Kumar Sharma, Dr Anant Kumar, Dr Dibya Singh Shah, Dr Mahesh Sigdel, Dr Mukesh Kaphle, Dr Rabin Nepali, Dr Anil Shrestha, Dr Subhash Acharya were involved in the kidney transplant surgery.
