Kathmandu, Nepal, March 15, 2021: After months long wrangling, two rival factions of the ruling  CPN (UML)-one led by Prime Minister and party Chairman KP Sharma Oli and the other led by party’s senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal held a talk at party headquarter, Dhumbarahi, on Monday.

Though the meeting was called to discuss over the disputes surfaced in the party, no concrete decision is made to minimize the differences, claims a source close to the meeting.

I the meeting, Oli was accompanied by General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel, Subash Nembang, Bishnu Poudel and Pradeep Gywali while Nepal was accompanied by vice president Bhim Rawal, Ghanashyam Bhushal and Raghuji Panta.

It is said that Prime Minister Oli had invited Nepal at his official resident at Baluwatar to discuss over the disputes surfaced in the party. However, Nepal denied participating at the meeting organized at Prime Minister’s official resident referring him to participate at party office if he intends to discuss with him.

The ruling CPN UML has reached at the verge to vertical split after Oli had unilaterally dissolved the parliament. Both the sides have claimed the legitimacy of the party even taking actions against each others.
