Kathmandu, Nepal: Saraswati Puja, which is also known as Shree Panchasmi or Basanta Panchami is being celebrated across the country by worshipping Goddess Saraswati on Wednesday. 
 
Goddess Saraswati is regarded as the symbol of knowledge, wisdom, learning, art, music and culture in the Hindu religion. 
 
The festival used to celebrate every year on the fifth day of the bright half of the Nepali month of Magh. The festival is also taken as the symbol of an advent of the spring season as plants start sprouting.
