Kathmandu, Nepal: The Supreme Court (SC) has paved the way for the scheduled elections stating that there is no need of separate ballot papers for the parliamentary and provincial elections under the proportional representation (PR) category.
A divisional bench of the SC justice Ananda Prasad Bhattrai made the decision responding to the writ filed by advocate Sunil Patel and Sita Ram Agrawal.
With the SC decision, the way is paved to hold the scheduled elections. Responding to the SC query the Election Commission has already started to printing the separate ballot paper for the first past the post category.
