Kathmandu, Nepal: The Supreme Court (SC) the apex Court of the country, has on Thursday postponed the date of hearing on five cases filed against the suspended Chief of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Lok Man Singh Karki.
The SC postponed the hearing till December 22 after suspended CIAA chief Karki’s lawyer Bal Krishna Neupane expressed his inability to advocate citing high blood pressure.
The hearing on different five cases related to the Suspended CIAA chief Karki’s qualifications was scheduled for Thursday.
The division bench comprising the SC justices Jagadish Sharma Paudel, Ishwor Khatiwada and Ananda Mohan Bhattarai has said that the hearing would not be postponed further.
Among the five cases filed against Karki, two cases are related to the Karki’s qualification to be appointed as the CIAA chief, one related to the state facilities provided him even after his suspension and two others related to obstruction while serving the SC summons at his house.
