Kathmandu, Nepal: the talks between government team and representatives of agitating Dr. Govinda KC ended inconclusively after the government’s talk team failed to make commitment to fulfill the demands raised by agitating Dr. KC.
The tree member government’s talk team led Secretary Shanta Bahadur Shrestha and the talk team representing to the Dr. KC held a meeting at Ministry of Education in Singhadurbar on Friday.
Dr YP Singh, Dr Ranjan Sapkota and Dr Jeevan Chhetri sat on the talks representing the Dr KC.
Dr. KC's primary demand is endorsement of Health Profession Education Bill. The bill has been has been relinquishing in Parliament for about a year but neither neither the government nor the political parties have taken initiation to passage the bill.
During the meeting the representatives of Dr. KC raised the same demands that the government had made a commitment to fulfill during the agreement reached with Dr. KC.
It is said that they had a demand to passage the bill by opting the fast track.
Dr. K.C., Senior orthopedic surgeon at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital had started his 11th hunger strike from Monday.
It is said that the stalled talks will be continued on Saturday as well.
