Kathmandu, Nepal: CPN UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that there is no meaning to amend the constitution before its implementation.
Constitution is amendable as it is a dynamic document but there is no meaning to amend it without implementing effectively, Oli, who is also the immediate past Prime Minister of the country, said.
Oli has made the statement while speaking at a press meeting at Tribhuvan International Airport before leaving his to Bangkok of Thailand. He is leaving there for his medical checkup.
We have heard that some parties agreed to amend the constitution, but the UML has not been approached formally on amendment of constitution, as there is no meaning to amend it, he said.
During the function, he also alleged the government for not functioning well. The ruling parties seemed more serious towards party cadres than to the country, Oli alleged the ruling allies even for failing to give full shape to the cabinet in a month of Prime Minister's election.
