KATHMANDU: The Tribhuvan University on Saturday has published the schedule of Free Student Union elections to be held on February 25.
Major dates for candidacy registration and other preparations are as follows:
February 12: Publication of voters’ list
February 15: Distribution of candidacy nomination forms
February 16 (11 am-3 pm): Candidacy registration
February 16 (5 pm): Publication of candidates’ list (First-past-the-post system)
February 17: Registration of complaints about the candidates’ names
February 17 (5 pm): Publication of final list of candidates
February 19: Withdrawal of candidacies and the final list publication
Meanwhile, the University said admissions in the first year of various bachelor’s and master’s programmes have been closed targeting the elections.
The oldest and biggest university of Nepal is holding the FSU elections after a hiatus of eight years.RSS
