Kathmandu, Nepal: Though the new constitution amendment bill was registered by withdrawing the previous bill to please the agitating United Democratic Madheshi Front (UDMF), it has objected the bill and decided to launch protest against of the proposal.
A meeting of the UDMF leaders decided to object to the new constitution amendment bill registered by the government at the Secretariat of the Legislature-Parliament. The meeting has also decided to boycott the local polls slated for May 14.
The UDMF has accused the government of endorsing the new constitution amendment stating that the bill is against the spirit of the previous agreements. Likewise, the UDMF has also announced the fresh protest programs against the bill including the mass demonstration in Tarai district on Thursday.
