Kathmandu, Nepal: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said his party has given priority to implement the constitution by holding three tiers of elections within the stipulated time frame.
Speaking at a program organized by the party in the capital on Saturday, Oli, who is also the former Prime Minister, said that the UML has initiated the Mechi-Mahakali campaign for the implementation of the constitution.
The UML was in favor of Madhesi, Dalit, Janajati and poor people, but some illusions are created that the UML was against the Madhesi, Dalit, Janajati and poor people, Oli claimed. People's rights can be safeguarded by keeping country's sovereignty and independence intact, Oli said.
UML General Secretary Ishwar Pokharel, Secretary Pradip Gyawali and many others also delivered their speeches in the function.
