Kathmandu, Nepal: CPN-UML candidate Dambar Aryal has been elected as the mayor of the Melamchi municipality.
He was elected securing 8678 votes while his immediate rival Aita Man Tamang of Nepali Congress’s mayoral candidate scored 7033 votes.
Similarly, Bhagwati Nepal of CPN-UML elected as the deputy mayor of the municipality. She has scored 9117 votes while her nearest rival Sabita Gurung of Nepali Congress scored just 6739 votes.
