Kathmandu, Nepal: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Pashupati Shamsher Rana has made clear that unification was halted at the eleventh hour due to the over ambition of the RPP-Nepal over the issue of power and position in the party.

Rana has made the revelation while speaking at an interaction program in Kathmandu on Saturday.  The planned unification was dropped at the eleventh hour after the RPP-Nepal did not agree to balance of the functions while dividing duties and rights of the national chairperson and executive chairperson of the new party, Rana said.
However, he claimed that the unification process with RPP Nepal has not ended. The Unification was not halted but postponed, he said.

However, the Kamal Thapa led RPP-Nepal has repeatedly been claiming that the unification process with the RPP has been ended. Chairman Thapa has been blaming Rana for ruining the unification process.
