Kathmandu, Nepal: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara left for Tibet of China on Saturday with the aim to ‘assure’ Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Nepal.
Mahara, a senior leader of the ruing CPN Maoist Center, set a program to attend at a program at Tibet with the aim re-urge the Chinese officials to make environment not to cancel the Chinese President Xi Jinping’s planned visit to Nepal.
Though Chinese President Xi Jinping had already assured to visit Nepal visit by the end of this year, there is looming suspicion that he would have canceled his planned visit Nepal.
However, China has not announced publicly about the cancelation of Nepal visit. The Nepal government has objected the news report that Chinese president Xi Jinping cancels his planned Nepal visit.
Earlier, Mahara had gone in Beijing as a special envoy of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to invite Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit Nepal. During his stay in China he had met Chinese Prime Minister, his counterpart and others officials.
Former Prime Minister KP Oli had invited the Chinese President to Nepal, during a visit to Beijing early this year to sign a trade and transit treaty with China.
Chinese officials had assured that Chinese president Xi would visit Nepal by the end of this year.
