Kathmandu, Nepal: Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of National Reconstruction Authority (NRA), Sushil Gyewali has moved to the Supreme Court (SC), the apex court of the country challenging the government’s decision to sack him from the post on Monday.
 
Gyenwali has demanded a stay order against the government for sacking him. In the writ he has argued that the government’s decision to remove him from the post illegal and with ill-intention.
 
Alleging him of incompetent, the government had sacked Gyewali from the post on Wednesday and had appointed former vice-chairman of the National Planning Commission Govinda Raj Pokharel in the post of NRA.
 
In the writ, Gyenwali has named defendants to the Government of Nepal, The Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Cabinet, Prime Minister and newly appointed CEO Pokharel.
