Kathmandu, Nepal May 23, 2022: The gold and silver price has remained constant on Monday. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association, the price of fine gold is set Rs 98,000 and tejabi gold is Rs 97,500 per tola. Similarly, the silver price was set Rs 1,270 per tola on the day.
Though the gold price has drastically increased, gold imports is not slowed down in Nepal. According to the data of the Department of Customs, 4,631 kg of gold worth Rs 35.77 billion was imported in Nepal during the first 10 months of the current fiscal year 2078-079.
The gold import is about 52.51 percent higher than the same period of the last fiscal year 2077-078.
