Kathmandu, Nepal: The government has dismissed chief executive officer (CEO) of National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) Sushil Gyewali alleging him of incompetent in the post.
A Cabinet meeting held in Singha Durbar on Wednesday has also appointed former National Planning Commission Vice Chairman Dr. Govinda Raj Pokharel as the new NRA CEO.
Former Vice Chairman of National Planning Commission (NPC) Dr. Govinda Raj Pokharel has already served as the NRA CEO of the National Reconstruction Authority while he was in the post of NPC vice chairman.
Expressing dissatisfaction over the performance of CEO Gyewali, the Cabinet meeting had asked a written clarification from Gyewali.
CPN UML chairman KP Oli-led government had appointed Gyewali as the NRA CEO.
