Kathmandu, Nepal: The ‘Himalaya to Ocean (H2O) Nepal Book Journey’ campaign has reached Sunaulo Kshitiz Shikshyalaya in Ward No. 16, Balaju Height, Kathmandu, as part of its ongoing nationwide outreach.

Author and travel narrator Ashok Silwal visited the school, presenting his three works — Everest: An Unfinished Story, Appa Deepo Bhava, and Sri Lanka Smriti — to students and teachers.

School Principal Mahendra Wosti welcomed the initiative, describing it as inspiring and meaningful for the academic community. He noted that the books go beyond literature, offering guiding philosophies that promote a positive and self-aware approach to life, with each work carrying a distinct message.

Everest: An Unfinished Story, while set against the backdrop of Mount Everest, goes beyond a mountaineering narrative. It highlights the importance of the journey over the destination and encourages readers to look inward, emphasizing self-discovery and reflection.

Similarly, Appa Deepo Bhava, inspired by the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage, conveys the message that while visiting sacred places and meeting spiritual teachers is valuable, the ultimate source of guidance lies within oneself. The book encourages individuals to become their own light.

Sri Lanka Smriti reflects on the experience of standing by the ocean while sensing the presence of the Himalayas, presenting a philosophical perspective on the interconnectedness and unity of nature.

With these three books representing three messages and life philosophies, the ‘H2O Nepal Book Journey’ aims to reach all 77 districts of Nepal. The campaign, with a special focus on schools, has already engaged students, teachers, and readers across various districts in discussions on literature, life philosophy, nature, and inner exploration.

Silwal, who also serves as a Village Tourism Ambassador and Langtang Ambassador, expressed gratitude for the warm reception at Sunaulo Kshitiz Shikshyalaya, stating that he was deeply moved by the respect and affection shown by the school community.
