Kathmandu, Nepal: Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri called on CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli at the party’s central office at Dhumbarahi in the Capital on Thursday.

During the meeting, the duo discussed on ranges of issues regarding the current political situation in the country, states the office of the UML.

Though none of the sides have made public about the exact matter of discussion, a reliable source close to the meeting has claimed that Indian ambassador Puri sought reason to protest the constitution amendment bill registered in the parliament.

As the UML has not only protested the recent constitution amendment bill but also the agreement  reached between the government allies and the agitating Madhes based parties to revise the bill to address their grievances.
