Kathmandu, Nepal, March 21, 2020: Responding to the surge of the coronavirus infection cases in the neighboring India, the government of Nepal has adopted precautionary measures to contain the spreading treat of the virus.

Issuing a statement on Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has appealed one and all not to hold any public events such as meetings, seminars, assemblies and any form of gatherings to prevent further spread of the COVID-19.

The statement issued at the sign of Dr Jageshowr Gautam, spokesperson of the MoHP, has also urged people to follow all health protocols issued earlier by the ministry including wear of face masks, frequently use hand sanitizers and other safety protocols.
