Kathmandu, Nepal, February 8, 2022: Nepal has received additional 862,080 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine.  United Kingdom (UK) has provided the vaccines through the COVAX facility on Monday. 

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), the newly received vaccines are the part of the 2,174160 doses vaccines offered by the United Nation backed international vaccine sharing scheme- COVAX facilities.

With the additional doses, Nepal so far has received 46,599920 doses of vaccines, including AstraZeneca, Vero Cell, Moderna, Janssen and Pfizer-BioNTech. Nepal so far has fully vaccinated 15,628,533 people or 53.3 percent of the total population.
