Kathmandu, Nepal, June 16, 2023. The newly appointed Chief Justice, Harikrishna Karki, has taken the oath of office and confidentiality with President Ramchandra Paudel.
Chief Justice Karki took the oath of office and secrecy with President Ramchandra Paudel amid a special ceremony organized at Rashtrapati Bhavan Shital Niwas on Friday.
Following the recommendation of the Constitutional Council, the Parliamentary Hearing Committee approved his name as the Chief Justice on Friday itself.
Karki, who has been holding the position of acting Chief Justice for the past eight months, is retiring on the 20th of July due to the age limit.
