Gulmi, Tamghas, Nepal: At least one person died while 17 others injured when a passenger jeep with registration number Lu 1 Ja, 1521 met with an accident at Resunga municipality-4, Arkhale in Gulmi district on Wednesday night.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Rudra Bahadur Dhega, 55 of Kapilvastu, Badhganga-8.
The ill-fated jeep that was returning after the cremation ceremony had met with the fatal accident after it fell down about 100 meters down the road. The cause of the accident is yet to be identified.
Among the 17 injured, six persons have received severe injuries. The severally injured passengers have been identified as Mohan Bikram Thapa, Dev Raj Pandey, Santosh Pandey, Dhruba Marasini, Dev Bahadur Bashyal and jeep driver Aatma Ram Rana.
