Kathmandu, Nepal: A meeting of the Legislature-Parliament has on Monday endorsed the Bill on Election Offences and Punishment, 2016 on.
With this endorsement of the bill, three elections related bills have been endorsed so far. The way would be paved for the elections only after the two remaining bills on Bill to Amend and Integrate Laws Related to Local Election and Bill to Amend and Integrate Laws Related to Political Parties are indorsed from the parliament. These two bills are still under discussion at the State Affairs Sub Committee.
The second meeting called for 2:30 pm had endorsed the same bill as first meeting called for 1:30 was postponed after Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi did not turn up on time.
