Kathmandu, Nepal, October 6, 2020: The official resident of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Baluwatar, has remained ‘shut’ after 144 people including his five advisers tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) on Sunday. All the activities of the party and the government have remained grinding halt since the news revealed that almost all the people living in the Baluwatar caught with the virus. 

All the meetings and sittings of the party and the government including the scheduled secretariat meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) that was slated for Sunday to discuss over the reshufflement of the cabinet has been postponed for the indefinite period even though the Prime Minister Oli was not tested positive for Virus.

With the postponement of the Secretariat meeting, the issue of cabinet reshuffle, appointment of ambassadors and among other contemporary issues related to the party and the government affairs become uncertain.

Given his health condition, Prime Minister Oli used to hold meetings regardless of party and the government from official resident, Baluwatar. However, neither the party nor the government has made clear about the looming uncertainly emerged after Baluwatar caught with the virus.  

Likewise, neither the government nor the party has made clear that how closely the Prime Minister Oli had been working with his advisers over the past few days. As post of Prime Minister is institution, the heath condition of Prime Minister Oli has become a concern to all.
