Veteran comedian and actor Rudra Prasad Bhattarai, popularly known as “Lajalam,” has passed away in Biratnagar at the age of 45.
According to family sources, Bhattarai had dinner and went to sleep at a relative’s house on Thursday night during his visit to his hometown. However, he was found dead on his bed the following morning.
Bhattarai had reportedly been suffering from obesity, high blood pressure, and diabetes for a long time.
He rose to fame through the popular comedy teleserial “Tito Satya,” where his character “Lajalam” became widely loved by audiences. Besides television, he also acted in several music videos, telefilms, and Nepali feature films, including the recently released “Chhakka Panja.”
