Kathmandu, Nepal, August 14, 2023:  The gold recovered from Sinamangal in Kathmandu, which was brought illegally from Hong Kong on July 19 hiding in a brake pad, is claimed to have just 60 kg and 789 grams.

The Revenue Investigation Department has informed on Monday that the confiscated gold is just 60 kg and 789 grams. Interestingly, it is also said that the weight can be reduced even more.

The Revenue Investigation Department had taken the weight of the gold in the presence of representatives from the CIB of Nepal Police, Revenue Investigation Department and Taksar Division.

Initially, it was said that the gold was about one quintal. It is taken surprisingly after the weight of gold remained almost half.
