Kathmandu, Nepal, March 5, 2023: The Supreme Court (SC), the apex court of the country, has sought clarification from the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) for its decision not to file a case against the chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane over his passport related controversy.
Responding to a writ petition filed against the OAG by advocate Yuvraj Safal, a single bench of Justice Harip Prasad Phuyal issued a show cause order on Wednesday.
Safal had moved to the SC on Wednesday against the decision of Attorney General Dinmani Pokharel claiming that the decision to refuse to take legal action in a case against Lamichhane for misuse of passport is bias.
