Kathmandu, Nepal: District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu has on Friday remanded to 7 days in custody to the assailant duo of the suspended Chief of the Commissioner of the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).   
 
Responding to the demand of the Metropolitan Police Circle (MPC), DAO Kathmandu extended 7-day-deadline has been provided to the MPC to look into the incident under the Pubic Offence Act (POA). 
 
Police have begun investigation into the two assailants- Prabal Shahi and Chandra Bahadur Budha- who had assaulted suspended chief commissioner of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Lokman Singh Karki and smeared him with soot at Supreme Court (SC) premises on Thursday.
 
Both the assailants are identified as the central committee members of All Nepal National Independent Student Union Revolutionary, student wing of Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist.
