Kathmandu, Nepal: Continuing its move to replace political appointees made by the previous administration, the government has decided to relieve honorary consuls serving in 15 different foreign locations of their responsibilities.

Following a Cabinet decision on Monday, these officials have initiated the process of vacating their positions. The affected honorary consulates include California, Massachusetts, and Seattle in the United States; Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney in Australia; as well as New Zealand, Klang Valley in Malaysia, Jakarta in Indonesia, and Rehovot City in Israel.

The decision also applies to honorary consuls serving in Nicosia, Cyprus; NRW, Bremen, and Lower Saxony in Germany; along with Warsaw, Slovenia, and Malta.
