Guwahati : The third round of Special Immunisation Drive to cover the left out and dropped out children and pregnant women will begin in Hailakandi district beginning December 12. 
 
A meeting of the District Task force chaired by Deputy Commissioner Moloy Bora discussed in details  the plan of action and strategies to attain cent per cent immunisation of children in the age group of 0-2 years and pregnant women. 
 
Deputy Commissioner Bora directed the senior officials of Health and Family Welfare and block officials to put in all their efforts to bring all the left out children and pregnant women under the 
 
Special Immunisation Drive. 
 
Bora said the administration will extend all possible help and support to the health and block officials to make the immunisation programme a success. 
 
Joint Director U.C. Phangchu said the department has formulated a comprehensive action plan to bring under the immunisation drive all the left out children and pregnant women. 
 
A power point presentation was also made on the occasion. 
 
The meeting was attended, among others, by Additional CM&HO, DPM, DME, consultants of WHO, UNDP and  block officials. 
 
It may be mentioned here that 99 per cent coverage of pregnant women and 98 per cent for children in the age group of 0-2 years have been already achieved during the first two rounds.
