Guwahati, Sep 19 : In an apparent case of moral policing, three minor boys were allegedly beaten up by a group of villager alleged that, the boys attempting to steal coconut in Assam's Hojai district on Thursday.
The incident took place at Changmaji village under Doboka police station, where a group of villager brutally beaten the boys.
According to the reports, the boys had reportedly attempted to steal a coconut and a person named Jakir Hussain caught them and tied them in a tree.
The three kids were brutally beaten up by the man and few other villagers.
The villagers also cut their hair.
They were critically injured and admitted at hospital.
The entire video went viral on social media, but the police has not taken any action against the attackers so far.
