Guwahati, May 23 : A Sukhoi 30 MKI aircraft of the Indian Air Force on Tuesday lost radio contact and went off radar after the aircraft had taken off from Assam's Tezpur Salnibari Air Force station. 
 
According to the reports, two pilots who were onboard the aircraft are also missing. 
 
A top official of Indian Air Force said that, the aircraft on a routine mission went missing at around 11 am on Tuesday near Doulasang area in Arunachal Pradesh along the bordering area with China. 
 
The Russia made fighter jet had lost radio and radar contact after takeoff around 60 kms from Tezpur. 
 
Meanwhile, Indian Air Force and army have jointly launched operation to trace the missing aircraft and two pilots.
