Guwahati, May 30 : A group of locals had attacked a youth publically in Nagaland’s Mon district on Wednesday for raping a 12-year-old minor girl.
The incident was happened at Mon town, where the youth hailing from Sonari area in Upper Assam’s Sivasagar district has been forcefully naked and attacked by a mob.
Local people of Mon town alleged that, the youth had allegedly raped a 12-year-old minor girl at Yuching village in Mon district.
Later, Mon district police had rescued the youth and taken him into custody.
Meanwhile, Mon district police had registered two different cases and started investigation.
On March 26, a group of locals had stripped two accused person naked and paraded them on street of Yingkiong town in Arunachal Pradesh alleging that they had allegedly raped a minor girl.
