Guwahati, March 9 : Assam government has decided to ban Nikhil Bharat Bangali Udbastu Samanvay Samiti (NIBBUSS) in the state following the Silapathar incident in northern Assam's Dhemaji district as miscreants vandalised an office of All Assam Students Union (AASU) 
 
 
Deputy Speaker of Assam assembly Dilip Paul, who visited to Silapathar along with a legislators delegation team, on Thursday said that, the state government has decided to ban the organization in the state and the state government will talk with the Centre regarding the issue. 
 
 
The assembly delegation team had discussed with the top official of police, administration and students organization leaders in Dhemaji last night to maintain peace in society. 
 
 
Meanwhile, the opposition legislators on Thursday had raised the issue in the assembly and demanding to ban the organization. 
 
 
The opposition legislators also slammed the BJP led state government after failure of arresting NIBBUSS president Subodh Biswas till now, who is reportedly flee from the state following Assam police declared him as a wanted person. 
 
 
On the other hand, situation is still tense following protests going on across the state against the government's failure. 
 
 
Activists of AASU and several civic organizations protested against the Silapathar incident and demanding the state government to take stern action against the culprits. 
 
 
Meanwhile, Assam police had arrested 22 persons so far in connection with the AASU office attack.
