Guwahati : Three child were died in a massive landslides in Assam's West Karbi Anglong district on Sunday.
According to the reports, the incident took place at Makhim village under Jirikinding police station in the hills district on Saturday evening, where the local villagers on Sunday had recovered the bodies of the children, who trapped by mud following landslides.
The deceased children age group of 10-12 years identified as Rengpo Rongpi, Ropen Rongpi and Chetlong Hanse, who were went missing since Saturday evening.
Local villagers said that, the children went missing while they were worked in hills for preparing jhum cultivation land.
A top police official said that, massive landslides happened at the hills area following torrential rains continuing in past couple of days.
