Guwahati : A businessman was shot dead by unidentified miscreants in Guwahati this evening.
The incident was took place at Kailashnagar area under Hatigaon police station in the city at around 8-30 pm.
According to the reports, two bikers had shot the businessman identified as Hemanta Chauseria while he returned from his wholesale shop.
The businessman was immediately rushed to a city based private hospital but doctor declared him brought dead.
Police had recovered one 9mm fired cartridge from the area.
Guwahati city police has started investigation into the incident.
