Kathmandu, Nepal, September 20, 2023: Canada has issued a travel advisory urging citizens to take extreme precautions while visiting India.
Recently, when the tension between Canada and India is increasing, Canada has made such a request to its citizens.
In the travel advisory issued by Canada on this Tuesday, it has been mentioned that there is a threat of terrorism, extremism, unrest and kidnapping in India's Jammu and Kashmir. Canada has also asked its citizens not to go to India's Gujarat, Punjab, Rajasthan and other areas bordering Pakistan.
Last Monday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that the Sikh community leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar was killed by Indian agents in British Columbia, Canada.
Following the Prime Minister Trudeau's statement, Canada had expelled an Indian diplomat on the same charge and after India had also instructed a Canadian diplomat to leave the country within five days.
