Guwahati, November 2 : The 4th National Education Conference of Don Bosco School Principals will be held at Don Bosco School, Panbazar, Guwahati on November 4-6.
It is a bi-annual educational Conference attended by about 250 Salesian Principals from across India, providing them with a common platform to discuss and deliberate on issues affecting education today and to find new ways of preparing the young to be future-ready to meet the challenges of 21st century.
The theme of the conference will be 'Transforming India through Education.'
The inauguration of the Conference will be held on November 4, at 6.00 p.m. with the key note address from former Union minister Jairam Ramesh.
On November 5, Dr. (Fr.) Fabio Attard SDB, General Councilor for Youth Ministry, Rome will host the flag and address the gathering on 'Preparing a Global Citizen in the Don Bosco Way.'Â
A social Entrepreneur, co-founder, MD, B-ABLE Susil Ramola will share on 'Leading Change in 21st Century.'Â
Most Rev. Thomas Menamparampil, Archbishop Emeritus, Guwahati will highlight on 'Preparing Young Minds for a Corruption Free Society.'
There will be a Panel discussion moderated by Dr. Dhrubajyoti Saikia, Chairman, VC, Cotton College State University, Assam which will be followed by Enchanting North East: A Cultural Razzmatazz Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal will be the Chief Guest at the function.
On November 6 at 9.00 a.m., Rev. Fr. Joseph Manipadam, National Secretary, Education, CBCI, India will enlighten on 'Challenges to New Education Policy, Government of India' and TMC MP Derek 'Brian will deal on 'Education - a response to Emerging India and a tool for Creating Socio-Political Leadership.'Â
Professor Emeritus, IIT, Delhi, and Founder: SPICMACAY and a Padmashree Dr. Kiran Seth will be speaking on 'Education towards National Integration and Promotion of Cultures.'
Dr. Sunita K. Bhuyan, Renowned Violinist and Social Activist will speak on 'Leadership, Change and Empowerment.'Â
The programme will be concluded with a Valedictory Function and the presentation of Don Bosco Educationist Awards.
