Kathmandu, Nepal: The Election Commission (EC) has on Friday issued a circular to the concerned stake holders including the security agencies to monitor the prohibition order to prohibit the vehicular movement on Sunday.
As Sunday is the election day of the first phase of local level election, the EC has made the decision to prohibit use of public and private vehicles on May 14 in 34 districts of Provinces 3, 4 and 6.
It is said that the prohibition order will come into effect from Saturday midnight till Sunday midnight. However, ambulances and vehicles used by security agencies, emergency services and the press are allowed after they get approval from the concerned authorities.
