Kathmandu, Nepal: Federal Alliance (FA), a loose alliance of agitating Madhes based parties and indigenous group, has on Sunday unveiled different protest programs including indefinite strikes with a view to disrupting the local level elections slated for May 14.

The protest programs will begin from April 18 and indefinite general strike will be imposed from May 10 targeting to the scheduled local level elections, a press release issued by FA spokesperson Dr Om Gurung has sated.

As the second constitution amendment bill registered at the parliament does not address the 11- point and 26- point demands and cannot ensure federalism, national identity, democracy, republic and proportional inclusion the FA has no alternatives than launching the protest program, states the press release.
