Kathmandu, Nepal:  Ganga Maya Adhikari of Fujel, Gorkha has ended her hunger strike staged at the Bir Hospital, the oldest hospital of Nepal, on Wednesday.

It is said that she ended her strike after the Chitwan District Court decided to record her statement in the murder of her son Krishna Prasad Adhikari.

Ganga Maya had lost her husband Nanda Prasad Adhikari in September 2014 while staging hunger strike demanding justice as their teenage son Krishna Prasad was kidnapped and fatally killed by then Maoist rebels in Chitwan in June 2004.

Likewise, it is also said that she agreed to end her hunger strike after some lawyers and rights activists assured her to internalize the issue if the Nepal government failed to deliver the justice.
