Guwahati, July 19 : Severe heat wave conditions in Assam following shortage of rainfall has claimed its first victim when a 50-year-old identified person died in heat stroke in central Assam’s Morigaon district headquarter on Thursday.
According to the reports, local people of Morigaon town had found an unidentified man in senseless condition near GKB college area and immediately informed police.
Morigaon police had rushed to the area and called 108 ambulance and admitted at Morigaon civil hospital.
While the man admitted at the government run hospital, doctors declared him brought dead.
Police suspected that, the man was suffered a heat stroke.
The Morigaon town today recorded 37 degrees celsius maximum temperature.
