Kathmandu, Nepal: Federal Socialist Forum Nepal has termed that impeachment motion registered in the parliament against Chief Justice Sushila Karki is a planned attack on the rule of law and independence of judiciary.
 
Issuing a press statement on Monday party chairman Upendra Yadav has also expressed its suspicion that the government would have intented to control the judiciary and intervention into judicial independence.
 
The impeachment motion was against the spirit and norms of the federal republican system which has illegally influencing the independent judiciary by abusing state power and authority to fulfill ones’ personal, factional or partisan interest, reads the statement.
 
In the statement Chairman Yadav has also asked to the concerned stakeholders to immediately withdraw the impeachment motion and respect the judiciary.
 
The Lawmakers from ruling Nepali Congress and CPN Maoist Centre had registered the impeachment motion against Chief Justice Karki on Sunday.
