Butwal, Nepal, August 11, 2021: The Chief Minister (CM) of Lumbini Province, Shankar Pokhrel, has resigned from his post.
CM Pokhrel tendered his resignation to Lumbini Province Governor Amik Sherchan on Wednesday.
CM Pokhrel’s resignation has come just hours before the provincial assembly scheduled to discuss over the no-confidence motion registered against him.
Earlier, CM Pokhrel had resigned from the post. But he was reappointed in the post on the basis of largest party of the provincial assembly.
