Guwahati : A shocking incident has come to light that, 9 persons who injured in a road mishap stranded three days in a remote village in Mizoram where the basic medical facilities was not available for their first aid.
The incident was took place between Ngampabung and Phulpui of Pherzawl district in Mizoram on May 24, when a Bolero vehicle fell down at least 300 metres from the landslide hit road into the forest, where nine persons injured in the accident had stranded for three days, where even the basic medical facilities was not available.
According to the reports, one of the victims had a broken a broken ribs and injuries in the head and nose and another had a broken arm.
The victims were identified as Vanlalnghak (driver of Ngampabung), Lalkulsang (Ngampabung), Laldawnglien (Ngampabung), Upa Lalumpui (Ngampabung), Rorelsang (Kangreng), Nehemia (Phulpui), Ringum (Ngampabung), Lalchawisang (Ngampabung) and Lalbiekthan (Ngampabung).
Alleged that, the district administration had not taken any measures or help to transport the injured persons to the nearest hospital, which is in Jiribam, about 234 km from the remote village.
The accident was happened at the area, when the injured persons on their way to Phulpui village to attend a funeral service.
All the villagers of the remote area are very poor and they haven't able to manage any vehicle to transport the victims to Jiribam or Silchar.
Meanwhile, reports said that, the administration of Vangai Sub-Division had rescued the injured persons from the remote village and provided basic medical facilities.
